Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan chaired a high-level meeting. The Prime Minister directed to conduct the local body elections in Azad Kashmir before November 30.
With reference to the holding of local body elections, the Election Commission of Azad Kashmir has written a letter to the government regarding the release of the schedule for local body elections in the second week of November.
In the meeting, a detailed discussion was made regarding the logistical requirements of the election, the required financial resources, and security staff and it was decided that after the necessary consultation on these issues.
The government will fix the date for the final schedule for the Election Commission in the next few days. Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan said that we will ensure the holding of the election before November 30.
In the meeting, Government Ministers Khawaja Farooq Ahmed, Diwan Ali Chaugtai, and Government Adviser Akbar Ibrahim.
