MIRPUR – (Azadi Times – Mirpur Lates News) The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Education Board has stopped private and public educational institutions from buying the syllabus of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Textbook Board.
Until a decision is made, the joint curriculum of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Textbook Board and the Punjab Board should be taught and booksellers) are informed that the mandate of teaching and implementation of class I to XII textbooks in the state of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is vested in the Secretariat of Elementary and Secondary Education.
According to the Executive Act, 2014, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Textbook Board has the mandate to prepare, print and publish textbooks.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir Textbook Board, fulfilling its mandate, prepared the textbooks of Intermediate 1st year according to the policy last year. The competent authority has approved these books to be implemented from the academic session 2022-23. There is no change or modification in this order and there is no ambiguity.
All textbooks are printed and available in the market on time. In this regard, some people are deliberately misleading the booksellers, teachers and students, which has nothing to do with the facts and is not the mandate of any other institution or individual except the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Therefore, through a press release, the general public is informed that the order of the Secretariat Elementary and Secondary Education regarding the implementation of intermediate textbooks is very clear and is being implemented accordingly.
Violation of this order is tantamount to challenging the government writ. Also, some elements in the national newspapers are misrepresenting the matter by publishing different types of news against which the law reserves the right to take legal action under the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Text Book Board.
