President Putin has been charged with performing illegal activities in Ukraine including the exile of children from Ukraine to Russia during his warlike activities in 2022. Since, the International Criminal Court has no access in Russia, not being a part of it. A good news for Putin’s supporters that ICC can’t arrest him in Russian territories. But still President Putin is in big trouble as he cannot travel to the countries having access of ICC, if he sets foot in any of ICC’s 123 member states, he will be arrested. Putin’s counterpart Biden has also welcomed this decision by mentioning that Putin had clearly done it.
Mr. Putin is the third president to be issued with this warrant from ICC, as he used his presidential powers for this deportation. ICC’s prosecutor Mr. Karim Khan has also confirmed that the charges are based on forensic evidences. On the contrary, the warrant has not been publicized yet as they are planning to stop them from further acts that violate human or children laws. Putin’s opposing parties have also welcomed this decision and declared it a justice while the former Russian President Dmitry compared the warrant to toilet paper.
