Muzaffarabad: (Crime Reporter) A large network of drug dealers was also involved in the theft of goats. Panjgaran police station arrested a five-member inter-district gang of thieves:


Police have recovered 10 goats from the arrested 5 accused while the accused have confessed that they used to steal goats from different places and hand them over to Tauseef Shah and Waqar Shah who used to load trucks and supply them to Muzaffarabad butchers and also send them to Pakistan. 


Were Police sources said that the group has been stealing goats from Panjgran and various parts of the city, including Neelam, for some time. An estimated 500 goats have been stolen. 


Among those arrested were Iftikhar Shah, brother of drug dealer Waqar Shah, from Muzaffarabad Tariqabad, Muzammil Shah from Panjgali, Fayyaz Shah from Buttal, Mir Zahid from Buttal and Naheed Awan alias Kala Malang from Dina. Is from Similarly, Tauseef Shah and Waqar Shah, the ringleaders of the gang, also belong to Tariqabad, while Nasir Shah, who works as a butcher in the Tanga stand, is also a member of the gang. 


Police have formed raid teams to arrest the three. SHO Panjgaran Manzar Chughtai told Khabar that about 15 goats were stolen from the Panjgaran area. When we started the investigation, a big network came to light. 


The suspects also carry out smuggling, including drug smuggling. They stole hundreds of goats from different places of Muzaffarabad including Neelam. 


He appealed to the people to report the stolen goats to their respective police stations to ensure their recovery. 

He said that the accused had confessed that they used to steal goats in the form of a six-member group. Tauseef Shah and Waqar Shah who used to sell trucks every 10 days. The arrest of other accused will also be carried out soon.
