The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has denied issuing SRO for tax-free and duty-free import of bulletproof vehicles.

According to the statement of FBR, there is no truth in the news published in this regard in various sections of the media and it is not based on correct facts.

The FBR says that the federal cabinet had approved such a facility in 2019, but no notification in this regard has been issued so far.

For the last two days, it was reported in the national media that the import of bulletproof vehicles up to 6000 cc has been declared duty free for former military officers.

It was claimed that notification in this regard has been signed and SRO will be issued soon.

After this, it was heavily criticized on social media, but now the FBR has denied issuing the notification and any such development.
