Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid and Federal Secretary Finance Hamid Yaqub Sheikh met in Islamabad.
On this occasion, progress was made regarding provision of additional grant of Rs. 5 billion for the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan and creation of necessary posts for capacity building of various departments and elimination of staff shortages.
In order to make it fully functional, it was decided in principle to create about one thousand required posts in the Secretariat, Anti-Corruption Cell, Health Department and Electronics Department.
The Federal Secretary Finance assured the Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid that immediate steps would be taken to create new posts and provide additional grants.
