Young Kashmiri politician Atif Maqbool appealed to the International Institute for Democracy And Electoral Assistance (IDEA) for justice
In recent days, the Pakistan-administered (Azad Jammu and Kashmir) Legislative Assembly has introduced a new law under which a candidate does not need a degree to run in the general elections. Approved by the President of Azad Kashmir.

Atif Maqbool is a young Kashmiri Political Rights Activist, independent politician, and blogger who called the law an enemy of development and demanded its repeal, but there was no positive response from the government. General elections are to be held in Pakistan-administered Kashmir in August 2021 this year. Has also started this work regularly.
And they seem to be succeeding in this because they will take away their conscience from the people with their power and money.
The people of Kashmir have been facing oppression and tyranny for the last seventy-five years which is known all over the world. It would be like breaking a mountain on the Kashmiri people. Atif Maqbool has appealed to the International Organization for Democracy (IOD) to consider the matter while performing its duties as it is against the principles of democracy.
We hope that the International Organization for Democracy (IOD) will act on this appeal and carry out its duties to establish democracy in Pakistan administered Kashmir ( Azad Jammu Kashmir ).
This will be a significant step forward in the rule of law and justice in the world.
