Jammu Kashmir: Government and Jammu University employees came face to face, know what is the whole matter





For your information, let us tell you that the news is that the teaching and non-teaching staff of four state universities of the state have come forward openly in protest against the Jammu and Kashmir Public University Bill 2022. Regarding this bill, the government argues that apart from bringing transparency in the functioning of universities, recruitment process, transfer policy, all universities will work within the ambit of one law, but the teaching and non-teaching staff of universities are refusing to accept it. . Along with this, on one hand, the government claims to give more autonomy to higher educational institutions under the National Education Policy 2020, while on the other hand, bureaucratic interference in the functioning of universities in Jammu and Kashmir is being increased. On Monday, teaching and non-teaching members of Jammu University and Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture, Science and Technology Jammu met National Conference President and former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah and handed over the memorandum. Tell that teaching and non-teaching members of Jammu University, University of Kashmir, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture, Science and Technology Jammu and Kashmir are protesting against this. The teaching and non-teaching staff of the universities have prepared the blueprint for the movement and have also constituted the newly formed Joint Action Committee. Apart from this, he has started meeting leaders of political parties. President of Jammu University Teachers Association, Prof. Pankaj Srivastava, President of Teaching Association of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Jammu Dr. Vikas Sharma said that this bill in its present form is not acceptable to us under any circumstances. The autonomous structure of universities is being harmed. Dr. Farooq assured that he will take up the issue related to the Bill in the Parliament as well.
