For your information, let us tell you that the news is that the Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department has imposed a complete ban on all government teachers from teaching private tuition. Along with this, the Principal Secretary of the department Alok Kumar has issued an order in this context, in which all government teachers have been refused to teach in private tuition or coaching centers. The order states that no government servant, whether on leave or on duty, can engage in private business. Similarly, no government teacher can teach in private tuition or coaching centers. The Principal Secretary said that complaints have been received that some teachers are teaching in private coaching centers during school hours, which is directly against the rules of the Education Department. Along with this, the education department has laid down a clear rule that no government teacher can do this without permission from the government. The Principal Secretary has appointed Zonal Education Officer at Zonal level and District Education Officer as nodal officer at district level to monitor the private tuition of teachers. Apart from this, the government is also going to issue toll free numbers in this context soon so that people can lodge complaints on them. Apart from this, the government has made all the education officers responsible for this so that no teacher can teach government tuition in the area under them. On the other hand, this order has been welcomed by Kuldeep Singh Bandral, the provincial head of the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum. At the same time, he said that the benefit of this will be given to the children in the school as the teacher’s attention will remain on them only. He has also appealed to the teachers for cooperation in this context. Please tell that there are many teachers in Jammu and Kashmir who teach private tuition. Due to this, their attention is focused on tuition, due to which the department has often received complaints about the education being affected in the school. Along with this, a new order has been issued regarding this.
