- Fake notes worth Rs 2.15 crore seized from this area of Jammu, 5 arrested
For your information, let us tell you that this news is from the Jammu division of Jammu and Kashmir, where in the past, the police have detained 5 people from Trikuta Nagar area of Jammu. Police have recovered fake notes worth crores from the possession of these people.
Three check books and Rs 5 lakh were also seized from these five people. It is being told that 4 of these people are from Kashmir while one is from Delhi. All the arrested accused were staying at a rented room in Bathindi area.
The accused have been identified as Nazir Ahmed and Manzoor Ahmed of Srinagar, Riyaz Ahmed of Pulwama, Basit of Shopian and Mohd Naimulla of Dwarka in Delhi.
It is being told that Nazir was in Tihar Jail for 6 years in a case related to terrorism. It was there that he came in contact with Naimulla.
According to information, Bahu Quila Police Station had received information that some people are trying to use fake Indian currency notes for illegal purposes. In this situation, the police teams intercepted a vehicle and apprehended five suspected persons and seized Rs 2.15 crore from them. At present, a case has been registered against the accused and they are being further interrogated.
