Jammu: 2693 jobs given to Kashmiri migrants

JAMMU: (Azadi Times – Newspaper) under the Indian Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP), 2015, 2,693 government jobs have been given to the people who migrated from Kashmir (India-administered).

Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai gave this information in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Along with this, he informed that the government has also approved the construction of 6,000 transit houses for Kashmiri migrant workers, who are working or will work in various departments of the Jammu and Kashmir government in the Valley. The Indian Union Minister said that the Jammu and Kashmir government had launched a portal on September 7, 2021, to address the grievances of Kashmiri migrants.

Rs 64,000 crore investment proposal for Jammu and Kashmir

According to information, the Jammu and Kashmir government has notified investment proposals worth Rs 64,000 crore, out of which Rs 2,500 crore has already been received.

Indian Union Minister for Home Nityanand Rai gave this information in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Rai said in reply to a written question that Rs 840.55 crore was invested in 2017-18, Rs 590.97 crore in 2018-19, Rs 296.64 crore in 2019-20, Rs 412.74 crore in 2020-21 and Rs 376.76 crore in 2021. Is. He said that the Jammu and Kashmir government has received investment proposals worth about Rs 64,000 crore so far.
