For your information, let us tell you that the Lieutenant Governor’s administration has approved the policy of sending government employees on inter-departmental deputation on the basis of technical and other professional qualifications. Along with this, the General Administration Department on Monday issued an order to give effect to the decision taken in this regard in the recently held administrative meeting. According to the information, this policy will be applicable to all other personnel except All India Services, Jammu Kashmir Administrative Services, Jammu Kashmir Police Service, Jammu and Kashmir Accounts, Forest Service.
Policy will remove the shortage of qualified personnel
Under this policy, employees having higher educational, technical qualifications will be better utilized by sending them from their original departments to other departments. The objective of this policy is to remove the shortage of technically qualified personnel in the departments of Public Works, Agriculture, Rural Development, Housing and Urban Development, Information Technology. According to the information, a screening committee will be constituted to make this policy effective. The committee will scrutinize the applications for Inter Department Deputation of eligible candidates.
Employees will be given incentives in new departments
Along with this, a five-member committee headed by the Administrative Secretary of the General Administrative Department will include the Administrative Secretaries of Planning, Finance Departments along with the parent department of the employee and additional secretary level officers of the department ready to take the services. Along with this, this committee will decide to send the government employee on inter-departmental deputation. Meanwhile, personnel ready for inter-department deputation will be promoted in new departments. The departments taking their services will also have to provide opportunities for skill development.
