For your information, let us tell you that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and party’s General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi reached Mata Kheer Bhavani Durga Temple at Tulmulla in Ganderbal, Kashmir Valley on Tuesday. Along with this, he took the blessings of the mother by bowing his head in the temple and wished for the unity and prosperity of the country. After this, Rahul Gandhi reached Hazratbal Dargah in Srinagar and prayed for peace and peace in the country. This dargah is deeply revered by Muslims in the valley. With this, the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which started from Kanyakumari, concluded in Srinagar on Monday. Addressing the closing ceremony, Congress leader Gandhi said the Bharat Jodo Yatra aims to preserve the liberal and secular ethos of India. He has undertaken this journey not for himself or for the Congress but for the people of the country.
According to information, this is a famous temple of Kashmiri Pandits. Also, this temple is located in Tulmula of Ganderbal district, 14 km east of Srinagar in central Kashmir. After Baba Amarnath in the valley, the recognition of Kheer Bhavani temple is the highest. Many memories of Kashmiri Pandits are associated with this fair, due to which Kashmiri Pandits eagerly wait for it. Kashmiri Pandits settled in the country and abroad arrive every year to participate in this fair.

The temple was built in 1912, know its recognition

Also this temple was built in 1912 by Maharaja Pratap Singh. Also, later Maharaja Hari Singh got it renovated. It is believed that Mother Ragya Mata (Kheer Bhavani or Ragyana Devi) appeared to Ravana after being pleased with his devotion. After which Ravana established her as the Kuldevi of Sri Lanka. After some time, due to Ravana’s behavior and bad deeds, the goddess became angry with him and expressed her desire to leave Sri Lanka. After this, when Lord Rama killed Ravana, he gave the task to Lord Hanuman to choose and establish his favorite place for the Goddess. On this the goddess chose Tulmula of Kashmir. It is believed that during the exile, Ram used to worship Ragyana Mata, then Maa Ragya Mata was established in Ragini Kund.

The color of the water of the temple pond changes

Tell that it is said that Kheer Bhavani Mata gives an indication of any untoward incident in advance. Meanwhile, the color of the water in the temple tank i.e. the glasses changes. The change in color of Kheer Bhavani is also mentioned in Ain Akbari. Along with this, every year before worship, milk and kheer are poured into the tank of the temple. Kheer means milk and Bhavani means prophecy. Both the Muslims and the Pandits here agree with this view. The Muslims here believe that this is a pilgrimage for them and their wishes come true.
