Action can be taken. It is being told that ARTO Jammu has issued a new order saying that now no dealer of e rickshaw can give anyone to drive e rickshaw.
According to the decree, whoever the e-rickshaw dealer gives his e-rickshaw to, he will first have to undergo training for 10 days. After training, a learning license will be made for that person in the RTO office. Whose validity will be up to one month. After one month e rickshaw drivers can apply for their license online. After which they will be given license from RTO office. But if any dealer gives e-rickshaw to anyone even after this decision of the department, then major action will be taken against him. Not only this, if any e-rickshaw driver is found without a license, then action can be taken against him as well. In these proceedings, the person’s e-rickshaw can also be confiscated.
Please inform that it will come into effect from 20 January 2023. Apart from this, the e-rickshaw drivers who have already taken e-rickshaw will also have to apply for getting the license. It has been clearly stated in the decree that if any e-rickshaw is found without a license, strict action will be taken against it.
