No vehicle is entitled to any challan until it is fit to run on the road. But what if your vehicle is in a workshop for repair and you get not one, not two, e-challan messages of Rs 54,000 on your phone.
Something similar happened with Zulfkar Mirza, a truck driver from Jammu. Let us tell you that Zulfkar Mirza, a resident of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir and owner of a truck, has received an e-challan message for violating traffic rules in Agra (UP) last day. That too for the full 54,000.
Zulfkar Mirza informed that he has received an e-challan of Rs 54,000 for his vehicle number JK11G0815 through SMS for violating traffic rules in Agra. He told that “When I suddenly got this SMS on my phone, I was shocked. Because I have never been to Agra. “My truck has been standing here in Narwal for almost 10 days as it is under repair, and today I have received a fine of Rs 28,000 from Agra,” he said.
When he went to the police station with this e-challan message, he came to know that it was a fake message.
Please inform that the date on the e-challan is January 9. The victim says he was at his sister’s house in Srinagar when he was fined in UP.
The victim told that after 28,000 he has received another e-challan of Rs 26,000. But he has never gone to UP in his truck. Even he has not got the permit for his truck yet.
