For your information, let us tell you that the news is that the team of senior officers, who came on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of Prashant Lokhande, Joint Secretary (Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh), Union Home Ministry, met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Manoj Sinha on the first day on Tuesday. Met Secretary Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta and discussed various issues. Along with this, it is being told that the issues of security, development, tourism, industry, PoJK, Kashmiri Pandits etc. were mainly discussed in this. The recent targeted killings in the Valley were discussed. A high-level team sent on the instructions of Union Home Minister Amit Shah is reviewing the development in various areas of Jammu and Kashmir. During the meeting with the Lieutenant Governor at Raj Bhavan, the members discussed the current security and development of Jammu and Kashmir. It was told that the security of other sections including minorities has been strengthened. The actions required to crack down on the terrorism ecosystem were briefed. The security director of MHA was present in the team. Similarly, in a meeting with the Chief Secretary at the Secretariat, the progress of the Centrally Sponsored Schemes implemented in Jammu and Kashmir was reviewed along with giving information about it. Apart from this, information was taken from the high officials of tourism, industry and revenue. The team members reviewed the progress of issues related to Power, Industry, Tourism, Kashmiri Pandit, Prime Minister’s Development Package, PoJK etc. It may be noted that on Wednesday, the team members will talk to the high officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Jammu and Kashmir on other issues including security. Additional Chief Secretary (Home) RK Goyal, Director General of Police DGP Dilbag Singh etc. will be included in this. Recently a high-level meeting was held in New Delhi by the Union Home Ministry to discuss the phased replacement of the Army in some districts of Jammu and Kashmir and its replacement with the Central Reserve Police Force. According to information, however, the issue is unlikely to figure in the meeting of the Home Ministry team with the Jammu and Kashmir administration. The central team will return to New Delhi on March 2 and submit a detailed report to the Union Home Minister.
