Kashmir: Police arrested a drug smuggler who was running away from the block, this stuff was recovered Baram
Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, the Budgam Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered narcotics from his possession.
It has been reported from the sources that a suspicious person was stopped by the police team of Beerwah police station during naka checking at Lalpora intersection in Valley Kashmir. As soon as the person saw the police, he tried to run away. After which the police personnel chased the person and took him into custody with great promptness.
Let us tell you that during the search of the person, the police personnel recovered maize leaves (04 pieces) weighing 100 grams and 03 strip Anxit-0.5, Alprazolam tablets (45 tablets) and intoxicants like charas. After which the police arrested him on the spot.
Explain that the accused has been identified as Tauseef Ahmad Wani s/o Ghulam Mohammad Wani, resident of Lalpora Birwah. Due to FIR number 32/2023, the police personnel have started further investigation by registering a case under relevant sections of the law at Police Station Beerwah.
