For your information, let us tell you that another new case has come to the fore regarding illegal mining in Jammu. But this case is a bit different and complicated than the rest. Because the accused often do things like illegal mining by hiding from the police personnel, but it is not so in this case. Here everything is happening in front of the eyes of the police and the police don’t want to see anything blindfolded. It is being told by the sources that this matter pertains to the Nagrota sub-division of Jammu division, where the unbroken mafia is filling their pockets by extracting sand, gravel etc. from the Tawi river by cartloads without any fear.
Let us tell you that the administration has completely banned such mining in this area. In such a situation, these crammed vehicles cross every police block very comfortably. It is not that police personnel are not deployed at the block. But still don’t know why such vehicles are allowed to go without stopping.

Let us tell you that while the DIG says that the police officers are tightening their noose on the mafias, on the other hand, the reason for the silence of the police on the issue of illegal mining in Nagrota is not understood. It is being told that these vehicles filled with sand and gravel easily cross the nakas like Nagrota, Sidhra. Neither these vehicles are stopped, nor any kind of inquiry is done from them. In such a situation, it remains to be seen how long this illegal mining will continue without any fear, and when will the time come when the police personnel stationed at the naka will stop these vehicles laden with sand and gravel and start investigation.
