The line of Akhand Bharat, Ek Bharat, Samarth Bharat and Strong India was drawn in Kashmir. The social, geographical and economic integration of Jammu and Kashmir has been ensured. And now when terrorism and familyism has come to an end, the picture of prosperous Kashmir is visible to the world. The light of development and nationalism has given Kashmir its proud identity. As a result of this, for the first time in the nectar year of independence, Kashmir’s Lal Chowk became tricolor and resounded with the proclamation of Bharat Mata ki Jai.
On the political situation in Jammu and Kashmir, Chugh said that after one year of independence from Article 370, the district and district panchayat elections were successfully held here along with the villages. Panchayat elections were held in the year 2018 after many years and there was 74.1 percent voting in it. In the Block Development Council elections held for the first time in 2019, there was 98.3 percent voting. There was also a record turnout in the district-level elections. The Valmiki community, the Gorkha people and refugees displaced and expelled from West Pakistan got the right to vote in state elections for the first time. Native law was implemented. According to the new definition of native, persons living in Jammu and Kashmir for 15 years or more will also be considered as domicile. The way has been cleared for the resettlement of Kashmiri Pandits, who were driven out of the Kashmir Valley in 1990. The work of creating jobs and transit accommodation for the returning Kashmiri migrants is in progress. Protection of the rights of girls and their children married outside Jammu and Kashmir has also been ensured.
In the end, Chugh said that the Narendra Modi government, dedicated to the motto of Antyodaya and the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas, has given a new impetus to development in Jammu and Kashmir, neglected for decades. Both the picture and the fate of Jammu and Kashmir are changing and soon Jammu and Kashmir will stand in the line of developed states of the country.
