Muzaffarabad (AMV) Rawlakot Hawks defeated Mirpur Royals by 43 runs in the first match of Kashmir Premier League (KPL) which started in Muzaffarabad:
In the match played at Muzaffarabad Stadium, chasing the 195-run target set by Rawalakot Hawks, Mirpur Royals scored 151 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Mirpur Royals captain Shoaib Malik scored 74 runs off 50 balls but his aggressive batting team Earlier, Mirpur Royals had won the toss and invited Rawla Kot Hawks to bat. Ahmed Shehzad of Rawlakot Hawks scored 69 and captain Shahid Afridi 16 runs. Rawalakot scored 194 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
The first match of KPL was telecast live from Geo Super while all other matches of the league will also be telecast live from Geo Super. Earlier in the opening ceremony Pakistan and Azad High officials of Kashmir and other officials attended.
