Two Kargil politicians and a journalist have reached the Indian Supreme Court seeking reinstatement of Articles 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution

KARGIL:- Three petitioners Qamar Ali Akhoon, Asghar Ali Karbalai and Sajjad Hussain have challenged the constitutional justification of revoking the special status of Jammu and Kashmir in the Indian Supreme Court:

The new petitions are part of a petition filed by Conventional Conference leaders Muhammad Akbar Lone and Hasnain Masoodi. Qamar Ali Akhun was an MLA from Kargil constituency of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly before the end of the special status of occupied Kashmir. Asghar Ali Karbalai is a Congress leader from Kargil district of Ladakh while Sajjad Hussain is the editor of the Greater Ladakh newspaper.

This law has abolished the legislative and administrative bodies in Kashmir and denied the constitutional rights of Jammu and Kashmir. The petition states that it is a decision to form a dictatorial government which has put an end to the entire democratic process. The people of the area have been left at the mercy of the organizers who have There is no mandate. On August 5, 2019, India revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of the Indian Constitution.
