Third phase of AJK local elections, PTI’s historic victory in Mirpur division

Mirpur, Bhimbar, Kotli (Azadi Times) In the third and final phase of local elections of Azad Kashmir, the ruling party PTI has won a clear lead in the Mirpur division.

Muslim League-N Azad Kashmir was second and Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Kashmir was third. In this way, around a dozen independent candidates have also been successful. According to unofficial results, PTI has won 23 out of 46 wards of Mirpur Corporation, 13 PML-G, 9 independent candidates, and one PPP candidate out of Mirpur city constituency consisting of two union councils and forty-six wards. will be declared successful.

PTI has been declared successful in one of the two union councils of Mirpur city. Chaksawari Constituency of Mirpur District consists of 6 Union Councils and 2 Municipal Committees. Of the eleven wards of municipal committee Chakswari, the PPP has won seven and the PTI has won four, while the PTI has won three of the six union councils and the PPP has won three. Consists of a municipal committee. Out of the 6 wards of the municipal committee, independent candidates have won five and PTI has won 01, while PTI has won 8 out of 9 union councils and PML-N has won 01.

 

PTI has been declared successful in 8 and PML-N in 2. Bhimbar city constituency of Bhambar district consists of eleven union councils and a municipal committee, out of 8 wards of the municipal committee, PTI has declared success in 4 and PML-N in 4, while in 11 union councils. From PTI 6, PML-N has won 4 and an independent candidate has won. Samahni Constituency consists of 10 Union Councils and one town, one of the two wards of the town has an independent candidate while the competition of the candidates in the other wards has been declared equal.

 

On the results of seven of the ten union councils of Samahni, PTI won three, PML-N one and three independent candidates. Barnala Constituency of Bhambar district consists of ten union councils and one municipal committee. Out of the three wards of the municipal committee, the PML-N has won two and an independent candidate has succeeded in one, while according to the results of four of the ten union councils, the PML-N has won three and an independent candidate has succeeded in one. Kotli district is an urban constituency of the Municipal Corporation. Consists of 14 wards and 6 union councils. Of the municipal corporations, independent candidates, four PTI, three PML-N and one People’s Party have won. While according to the results of five of the six Union Councils, two People’s Party, one PML-N, one PTI and one independent candidate have been declared successful.

 

Raj Mahal Constituency of Kotli District consists of ten Union Councils, out of which PTI has been declared independent on two and People’s Party on one and PML-N on one. Kotli Constituency has ten Union Councils and one Municipal Committee. contains Raja Salman, numbered from Ward One of Chachoi Municipal Committee and Waqas Saleem from Ward Two won the National League. Out of the nine union councils of Chachoi Constituency, the People’s Party won four, the PML-N won four, the PTI won one, and an independent candidate won one. Khoi Ratta Constituency of Kotli district consists of eleven union councils and one municipal committee.

 

Two PML-N one PTI and one independent candidate have been declared successful in Khoi Ratta Municipal Committee. PTI won seven of the union councils, PML-N, one PPP, and one independent candidate successfully. Sahensa Constituency of Kotli district consists of eleven union councils and one town. PTI has been declared successful in two of the three wards of the town and Muslim Conference in one, while according to the results of nine out of eleven union councils, PTI has declared success in five, PML-N in three, and PPP in one. The results of the two are still pending. District Kotli Constituency consists of nine union councils and one town committee.

The town consists of two wards, both of which have been won by the National League. Out of the nine union councils, PML-N won four, PPP won four and PTI won one. Local body elections in Azad Kashmir, which began on November 31 after thirty-one years, have been held in three phases. In the first phase, municipal elections were held in three districts of the Muzaffarabad division, while elections were completed in four districts of the Poonch division on December 3. The elections held today in the Mirpur division also remained peaceful on the whole, with occasional clashes which were brought under control.
