Trarkhel, Pakistan-administered Jammu & Kashmir —A peace rally and public gathering were organized today in Trarkhel city by the pro-independence alliance in Jammu & Kashmir to protest against ongoing shelling along the Line of Control (LoC), internal unrest, and rising violence across the region.
Hundreds of participants marched through the main city, carrying white flags as a symbol of peace. The demonstrators called for an end to hostilities along the LoC and demanded the withdrawal of military forces from the region.
During the rally, participants also raised concerns over the recent deaths of Zarnosh Naseem and Jabran Naseem in an alleged police encounter, demanding an independent judicial inquiry into the incident.
Organizers emphasized the urgent need for lasting peace and the protection of civil rights in the disputed region, stating that the voices of local Kashmiris must not be silenced in the face of ongoing militarization and conflict.
