BEIJING: China has announced military exercises in the seas around Taiwan. US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi left Taiwan on Wednesday after a brief but controversial visit.
Earlier, China advised Pelosi not to travel to Taiwan. China has announced five days of military exercises in the seas around Taiwan since Thursday.
China has said the drills will take place in some of the world’s busiest waterways and will involve “long-range munitions firing”.
