Sana’a: Yemeni Houthi launched a ballistic missile attack on Israel, which landed near a location close to Tel Aviv, causing a fire to erupt in an open area.
According to foreign media, the Israeli air defense system was activated to intercept the missile coming from Yemen. However, despite firing numerous rockets to destroy the Yemeni missile, the system failed to neutralize it.
The missile triggered sirens as it entered Israeli territory, and in fear of the attack, millions of Israelis rushed to the shelters established across different parts of the country, resulting in 9 people being injured.
Following the attack, Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree stated that they targeted the Jaffa area with their hypersonic ballistic missile and achieved their target. Yahya Saree further mentioned that their fired hypersonic missile traveled over 2000 kilometers in just 11 minutes and 30 seconds, reaching its target in Israel and forcing 2 million Israelis into shelters simultaneously for the first time.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah has continued its attacks on Israel. After the Houthi attack, Hezbollah also fired 40 rockets at northern Israel today, causing fires in various areas and damaging some homes.
In response to Hezbollah’s attacks, the Israeli military stated that 40 rockets were fired from Lebanon towards northern Israel, some of which were intercepted while others landed in empty areas. Efforts are underway to control the fires caused by the rocket impacts.
