Palandri: A large group of protesters from the Poonch division and Kotli in Pakistani-administered Azad Jammu and Kashmir have converged in Palandri, Azad Kashmir, calling for the immediate release prominent Kashmiri leaders form Kotli and Mirpur jails
The protesters are demanding the release of Sardar Aman Kashmiri and Sardar Ilyas Kashmiri, who are members of the Jammu Kashmir Joint Army Action Committee. Both leaders were recently detained by authorities.
The protesters, who have arrived from the nearby areas of Palandri, Rawalakot, and Kotli, have gathered in Palandri to voice their strong opposition to the detention of these political figures.
They argue that the arrest of Sardar Aman Kashmiri and Sardar Ilyas Kashmiri is a violation of their civil liberties and a suppression of the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
The demonstrators have vowed to continue their protest until leaders are released unconditionally. They have also called on the international community to intervene and pressurize the authorities to respect the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people.
The situation in Palandri remains tense as the protesters show no signs of backing down. Local authorities have deployed additional security personnel to maintain law and order in the area.
