Srinagar: (Azadi Times) National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah has said that divisive elements are engaged in nefarious conspiracies to suppress the voice of Kashmiris, and it is time that we understand these tactics of the enemy and thwart their intentions:
He asked why new political parties are emerging in Kashmir every day while such a trend is not seen in Jammu. Obviously, this is only to weaken the voice of the people here by dividing it. Dr Abdullah was addressing a youth wing meeting at the party headquarters.
Dr. Abdullah said that the youth have to go ahead and take the reins of the party, the country and the nation, therefore it is necessary to empower the youth at all levels. He also urged the youth to respect the elders and work under them.
He said that politics is a field of thorns and one has to step into it with a sigh of relief. Dr. Farooq urged the youth to play their role in eradicating the innovations spreading in the society, especially drug use. “Drugs are quietly eating our new generation, it is our duty to get our new generation out of this whirlpool,” he said.
