DEHLI: The difficulties of the Congress party are increasing day by day. It is reported that after two years, now the parliamentary membership of Rahul Gandhi has also been abolished. The Lok Sabha Secretariat has issued a notification in this matter.
Earlier in the past, the Surat court had sentenced Rahul Gandhi to two years imprisonment for making objectionable remarks about the Modi surname (community).
Please tell them that during the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2019, he had said in a rally why all thieves are named Modi.
Due to this BJP MLA Purnesh Modi filed a defamation complaint against him. However, after the sentence of the Surat court, Rahul Gandhi got bail as well.
It was only a few days after this matter that now the news has come that now the parliamentary membership of Rahul Gandhi has also been terminated.
In this regard, the Lok Sabha Secretariat has issued a notification, in which it has been told that after the Surat court’s sentence, now the parliamentary membership of Rahul Gandhi, a Lok Sabha member from Wayanad, Kerala, is terminated. His decision has been implemented since 23 March 2023.
Explain that this decision has been taken due to the provisions of Article 102 (1) (e) of the Indian Constitution and Section 8 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
Let us tell you that after this decision, if the court also does not take a decision in favor of Rahul Gandhi, then he will not be able to contest the 2024 and 2029 Lok Sabha elections.
