The number of people who died due to Balochistan floods reached 270 while thousands of homeless people are waiting for relief and rehabilitation from the government.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), relief activities are ongoing in all 35 districts of Balochistan affected by rains and floods.
After the flood, the prices of food items have increased tremendously across the province, where the prices of vegetables have increased, the flour crisis is also intensifying day by day.
Before the flood, the price of a 20 kg flour bag in Quetta was Rs 1,800, which has now increased to Rs 2,600, while in other districts of the province, the price of a 20 kg flour bag has exceeded Rs 3,000.
According to the Balochistan government, more than 1.3 million people have been displaced in the province, while more than 185,000 houses have either collapsed or been severely damaged.
