Heavy rain in Islamabad, Pindi, WASA on high alert

The twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad were inundated by torrential rains, low-lying areas were flooded, WASA issued a high alert.

According to MD WASA, WASA personnel are present with heavy machinery in the lowlands, 32 mm of rainfall has been recorded at Golra, 30 mm at Chaklala and 21 mm at Syedpur.

In Chakwal and Shakargarh, the weather became pleasant due to early morning rain in Islamabad.

Twin cities are shrouded in black clouds, WASA has issued high alert in Rawalpindi due to continuous rain.

MD Vasa said that 15 mm of rain has been recorded in Bokra and 13 mm in Shamsabad.

In Nala Lai, the water level is 5 feet at Katariyan and 4 feet at Golmandi Bridge.
