On the request of Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Iraqi counterpart Usman Ali announced to open all entry points for Pakistani pilgrims.

The Iraqi Interior Minister has announced a special visa facility for Pakistani pilgrims at Chalum Imam Hussain along with the immediate processing of all pending visa applications of Pakistani pilgrims at the Iraqi Embassy.

In the discussion between the interior ministers of the two countries, it was also decided to increase the number of visas for willing pilgrims from Pakistan to Iraq and it was also agreed to form a Pakistan-Iraq joint committee for a sustainable solution to other problems including pilgrims. .

Rana Sanullah thanked the Iraqi counterpart for immediately allowing the Pakistani pilgrims to enter Iraq and also invited Iraqi Interior Minister Usman Ali to visit Pakistan.

The Iraqi Interior Minister expressed his best wishes to his Pakistani counterpart and thanked Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah for accepting the invitation to visit Pakistan soon.
