PTI challenged the phased acceptance of resignations of its MNAs in the Supreme Court

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has challenged the phased acceptance of the resignations of PTI members by the Speaker National Assembly.

Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Umar has challenged the decision of the Islamabad High Court in the Supreme Court.

Advocate Faisal Chaudhry filed an appeal on behalf of Tehreek-e-Insaf, in which the Supreme Court has been requested to annul the decision of the Islamabad High Court.

It has been requested in the petition that the court declares the phased acceptance of resignations by Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf as illegal and unconstitutional.

It has been stated in the petition that Tehreek-e-Insaf had decided to resign from the National Assembly to get a fresh mandate from the people. had announced the approval of the resignations of 125 members, the approval of the phased resignations of Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf is a violation of the established norms.
