Rains and floods continue to devastate Balochistan, death toll rises to 278

After 8 more deaths were confirmed in Balochistan in 24 hours due to floods, the death toll in the province rose to 278.

According to the report issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), in the last 24 hours, 8 more deaths were reported in the accidents due to flood, 6 men and 2 women died in Jhal Magsi district.

Since June 1, the number of dead in Balochistan has reached 278, including 132 men, 63 women and 83 children.

172 people have been injured in various accidents during the rains in the province, while a total of 64 thousand 385 houses have been damaged in Balochistan due to flood rails and rains, while more than 270 thousand 444 livestock have fallen victim to the flood rails.

According to the PDMA report, crops standing on 200,000 acres of land have been damaged so far, 22 bridges have collapsed in flood channels in the province, while various highways covering 2,200 kilometers have also been severely affected.
