Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a telephone conversation. On this occasion, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Turkish government for providing relief materials to the flood victims.
According to the statement from Islamabad, he said that the supply of relief goods is a reflection of the ideal friendship between Pakistan and Turkey.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif informed the Turkish President about the damages due to flood.
He said that due to the devastating floods in Pakistan, the economic growth rate has decreased by 2%, crops have been destroyed on a large scale, houses and infrastructure have been severely affected.
The Prime Minister said that the rehabilitation of the victims is a big challenge for the government of Pakistan.
He also reiterated his determination to increase relations with Turkey in all fields.
