Pakistan’s legendary cricketer Javed Miandad also could not remain without praising Naseem Shah’s batting.
Yesterday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released a video in which Pakistan Junior League Mentor Javed Miandad said that Naseem Shah batted very strategically against Afghanistan which is worthy of praise.
He said that I enjoyed the Pakistan-Afghanistan match a lot, the youth should learn from this match that they should never lose heart, the match can be won anytime, the effort should be to compete till the end.
He said that like me, Naseem Shah also got a full toss in Sharjah, which he took full advantage of.
In the 1986 Australia Cup final at Sharjah, when Pakistan needed four runs off the last ball against India, Javed Miandad hit a full-tossed six off Chitan Sharma to win Pakistan their first one-day international.
Javed Miandad expressed good wishes for the national team for the final of the Asia Cup and said, “Play normal cricket, I hope Pakistan will play good cricket.”
It should be noted that in the match played in Sharjah, Pakistan achieved Afghanistan’s target of 130 runs thanks to Naseem Shah’s 2 consecutive sixes in the last over.
Pakistan needed 11 runs off 6 balls. Naseem Shah hit the Afghan bowler Fazal Haq Farooqi for 2 consecutive sixes to give Pakistan victory.
