Danny Meitei gave India the lead in the 25th minute. But Nepal made a comeback in the match with Saroj Darlami equalizing before half-time. Goals from Unesh Budathoki (49) and Subhash Bam (68) in the second half put Nepal ahead in the match.
In the beginning of the match both the teams started fast. The players seemed attacking enough to score goals against each other. But India opened the goal and took a 1-0 lead. After this, Nepal won the match by scoring consecutive three goals from the first half to the second half.
