After the defeat by Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final, social media users questioned Babar Azam’s captaincy.

In the final of the Asia Cup T20 tournament, Sri Lanka became the Asian champion for the sixth time after defeating Pakistan.

In pursuit of Sri Lanka’s target of 171 runs, Pakistani batsmen could score 147 runs in the allotted 20 overs.

Earlier, Sri Lanka scored 170 runs for 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs thanks to Bhanuka Rajapaksa’s brilliant batting after half the team returned to the pavilion on a total score of 58.

Even after dismissing 5 players for 58 runs, the social media users raised questions on Babar’s captaincy after the Sri Lankan team scored 170 runs.

In the innings against Sri Lanka, Babar gave only one over to Muhammad Nawaz, who bowled brilliantly throughout the tournament, in which he conceded 3 runs.

Social media users say that why did Babar not give overs to Nawaz despite being continuously beaten in Muhammad Hasnain’s overs? And that’s why the Sri Lankan team managed to score a big total.

A user wrote that someone can explain to me why Mohammad Nawaz was given only one over?

It should be noted that Mohammad Hasnain gave 41 runs in 4 overs against Sri Lanka.
