JAMMU: Former President of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) Rahul Gandhi arrived in Jammu on Thursday on a two-day visit:
Immediately after his arrival in Jammu, the leader reached Katra town in Reasi district where he visited Shri Mata Vishu Devi temple. Like Jammu, Rahul Gandhi was widely welcomed in Katra and in his favor.
Slogans were chanted. He walked on the way to the Mata Vishnu Devi temple and also met devotees on the way. Before leaving for the temple, Rahul Gandhi said in response to a question from reporters: I have come here to visit Mata. ”When asked to respond to a BJP statement, he said:“ I do not want to respond to the BJP statement. I do not want to make any political statement here. ”The Congress spokesperson said that Rahul Gandhi traveled on foot to attend the court of Mata Vishnu Devi.
He said that he would meet the party delegations till 12.30 pm. He said that he would also meet the senior leaders of the party before leaving for Delhi. Bhavani had attended the temple.
