The stage of submission of nomination papers for local body elections 2022 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir has been completed, 13637 candidates have submitted their nomination papers to participate in local body elections on October 24 at 4 pm, out of which the papers of 454 candidates have been rejected. According to the Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 1347 candidates from Bhambar district, 735 from Neelum, 1387 from Mirpur, 699 from Jhelum Valley, 2570 from Kotli, 991 from Siddhnoti, 1506 from Bagh, 460 from Haveli Kahota, 460 from Poonch to participate in local body elections 2022. 1800 while 2142 candidates submitted nomination papers from Muzaffarabad district. The nomination papers of 52 candidates were rejected from Bhambar district, 7 from Neelum, 43 from Mirpur, 11 from Jhelum Valley, 104 from Kotli, 11 from Sidhnuti, 39 from Bagh, 15 from Haveli Kahota, 107 from Poonch and 65 candidates from Muzaffarabad district. Nomination papers were rejected.
