J&K: PHE employees threaten to go on strike on September 23

Jammu, September 11 (Azadi Times) The employees of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department in illegally occupied India-occupied Jammu and Kashmir have threatened the authorities that they will go on strike on September 23 if their demands are not met.

Senior members of PHE Employees United Front, Manish Sharma, Rajesh Jamwal, Balder Rajved, Devinder Singh and others while talking to reporters in Jammu said that on June 18, the United Front will hold a one-day strike in favor of the old demands of the employees.

He said that it is unfortunate that the authorities have failed to resolve the pending issues of the permanent employees and they only want to buy time. He expressed regret that the authorities are forcing him to protest. He gave the administration till September 22 to resolve the issues and in case of failure, the employees will go on strike on September 23, 2022.

He said that due to the strike of daily wagers, permanent employees are working more than 8 hours, either they should be paid or no additional duty will be done, moreover, the issue of regularization of daily wage employees should be resolved soon.
