Strongly condemn the transfer of Kashmiri detainees to Indian jails

Srinagar 09 September (Azadi Times)
The leadership of the All-Party Hurriyat Conference in India-occupied Jammu and Kashmir has strongly condemned the move by the Modi government to transfer 150 more illegally detained Kashmiris from occupied Kashmir to various Indian jails.

The leadership of the Hurriyat Conference in a statement issued from Srinagar said that the transfer of another 150 illegally detained Kashmiris from Occupied Kashmir to various Indian jails hundreds and thousands of miles away from their homes is the illegal occupation of freedom-loving Kashmiris on their motherland by India.

The statement said that the sectarian Modi government cannot weaken the freedom spirit of Kashmiris through such tactics and will continue their right-based freedom struggle to its logical conclusion. Modi government has transferred 150 detainees from Occupied Kashmir, including mostly Hurriyat leaders, activists, youths and students, to jails in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, New Delhi and other Indian states under a secret plan, which is a public black law. He was imprisoned in Jammu’s Kot Bhalwal Jail under the Safety Act and Prevention of Illegal Activities.

According to Indian media reports, among these detainees are some residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, who on different occasions crossed the Line of Control by mistake and entered Occupied Kashmir. Detainees have been ordered to be held in total solitary confinement. Under a nefarious plan of the Modi government, more Hurriyat leaders, activists and youth will be transferred from occupied Kashmir to Indian jails in the coming days.
