French Female National Arrested In Mirpur for Exploiting Girls under Marriage Pretense

Mirpur, Azad Kashmir – Azadi Times: In a significant breakthrough, law enforcement authorities in Mirpur have apprehended a suspect involved in a human trafficking ring, exploiting young girls under the guise of marriage. The accused, identified as Nargis, is a Pakistani national with ties to the city of Jhelum.

According to police reports, the suspect would assume a false identity, disguising herself as a young man named Shaban. After arranging marriages, she would then attempt to smuggle the brides out of the country for illicit purposes.

The arrest follows a formal complaint filed by the family of one of the victims. The affected family, led by Chaudhry Ramadan, revealed that Nargis had assumed a fabricated identity and managed to arrange a marriage between their daughter and the fictitious character, Shaban. Post-marriage, the family discovered the deception and sought legal assistance.

Chaudhry Ramadan disclosed that the trafficking group subjected their daughter to violence and attempted to facilitate her sale in various locations. Faced with mounting challenges, the family managed to safely transfer their daughter to a secure location in France.

The victim’s father urged authorities to bring Nargis to justice, emphasizing the need for her immediate return to Pakistan to face legal consequences.

He expressed concerns over the suspect’s potential involvement in similar activities with others, urging a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served.

Upon returning to Pakistan in search of a new victim, Nargis was promptly apprehended by the police following a tip-off from the victim’s family. The police are conducting a comprehensive investigation, and the suspect is currently in custody, with authorities exploring potential connections and trafficking networks.

This incident sheds light on the complexities and challenges surrounding human trafficking, prompting a heightened focus on combating such heinous activities within the region.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities are expected to delve deeper into the modus operandi of the trafficking ring and take necessary actions to dismantle it entirely.
