New Onion Variety Yields High in Azad Kashmir

Bagh, Azad Kashmir: The Agriculture Department of Azad Jammu Kashmir has successfully cultivated four different varieties of onions, including Swat One Variety, on an area of approximately 2 marlas in Bagh Azad Kashmir (Pakistani controlled) Despite the severe rains, a production of three maunds was possible.

Swat One Variety was the most successful variety, with a yield of 1.5 maunds per marla.

Onions are a popular vegetable that is cultivated and used in many parts of the world. They are a good source of minerals, protein, and vitamin C. Onions also have important medical benefits, such as helping to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease.
