Muzaffarabad: The disclosure of the arrests of dozens of protesters in three police stations in Muzaffarabad has sent shockwaves through the region, with authorities remaining tight-lipped about the identities and numbers of those detained.

In Kotli district, the police have confirmed two DSPs, one inspector, one ASI, and three head constables, along with over 30 constables, are injured. Sources from the protesters’ side also confirm the detention of several individuals.

A complete shutdown and curfew will remain enforced on Sunday as well, announced by the Jammu Kashmir Joint Public Action Committee, Muzaffarabad Division.

Azad Kashmir witnesses a surge of unrest as protests escalate, resulting in more than 300 arrests and a devastating loss of life.

Among the casualties is a Senior Police Officer (SHO) from Mirpur, adding to the gravity of the situation.

Furthermore, one protester is critically injured after falling into the Neelam River in Muzaffarabad while demanding justice through the registration of an FIR against the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu Kashmir.

Authorities continue to maintain silence on the unfolding events, raising concerns about transparency and accountability amidst the escalating tensions in the region.
