UN should implement approved resolutions to resolve the Kashmir dispute

Srinagar, December 31 (Azadi Times Newspaper) Posters put up in various areas of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including Srinagar, demanding the United Nations resolve the Kashmir dispute as per the resolution passed on January 5, 1949.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the posters were put up by pro-independence organizations Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Movement, Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement, and Students and Youth Forum. 

 

The posters said that the Security Council has recognized the right of self-determination of Kashmiris through the resolution passed on January 5, 1949, but India is continuously refusing to grant them this right, which the international community should take note of. These posters have also been posted on other social networking websites including Facebook and Twitter. 

It was said in the posters that it is the responsibility of the United Nations to implement its resolutions to resolve the Kashmir dispute. In the posters, All-Party Hurriyat Conference Chairman Musrat Alam Butt, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Muhammad Yasin Malik. , Mushtaqul Islam, Asia Andrabi and Dr. Hameed Fayyaz’s pictures are also there.
