It is said that the media is the fourth pillar of the state, especially the electronic media has an important role in beautifying society and bringing social problems to the authorities. But unfortunately, in a country built in the name of Islam, the media is creating distortions in society.

Apart from the journalistic principle, rating seems to be a media target for which Pakistani media is ready to do anything. The situation has become so serious that the media, whose job was to reflect our culture and culture, are violating moral values with such obscenity and indecency through dramas, sensational news, and advertisements, and the situation is so bad. It has become impossible to sit and watch TV with the family. Class differences have seriously affected other aspects of life. The social and political differences found in the media are increasing frustration in society. With the advent of social media, the need for electronic media has been limited to some extent, but it is still not appropriate to deny the importance of electronic media. In the absence of debate on the issues, it seems that print and electronic media have no business in Pakistan.

Especially on the issues of Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan, there is such silence as if these areas do not exist and the problems here are unresolved. Gilgit-Baltistan is not a legal part of Pakistan in light of the Constitution of Pakistan and the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. The state of Jammu and Kashmir is a unit and a referendum is yet to be held in the presence of the United Nations to join any country or region. This region, rich in natural resources, and water reservoirs, is located at the crossroads of four nuclear countries and is also the main route of CPEC and the real key to the issue of Kashmir. This is the reason why this region is the focus of the New World Order under the Global Great Game.

But despite the international legal status of the region, the bureaucracy is doing the same thing in the region that Narendra Modi did on August 5, 2019, in gross violation of Security Council resolutions. Modi abrogated the special status of Jammu and Kashmir by abrogating Article 370 and Article 35A of the Indian Constitution regarding Jammu and Kashmir Ladakh and after partitioning Jammu and Kashmir and granting the status of Union Territory to Ladakh region directly Delhi government gave it under the subjugation of Pakistan. On this issue, Pakistan strongly protested on the platform of the United Nations and demanded the observance of the resolutions of the Security Council for the solution to the Kashmir issue. The Prime Minister of Pakistan at that time, Imran Khan, in his address to the United Nations General Assembly, clearly said that the issue of Kashmir will be resolved through a referendum and the referendum will be held in the state of Jammu and Kashmir (ie Gilgit-Baltistan, Ladakh, Jammu, Kashmir Valley, and the people of Azad Kashmir) have the right. But on the other hand, for the past decades in Gilgit-Baltistan, harassment and beatings under the laws of terrorism for the occupation of public lands by declaring them as public lands and evicting the public in the name of Khalsa Sarkar, which is from the time of the Sikhs, is a common practice. The people of the region have been continuously protesting for the past several years and a complete shutter down strike has been going on in the entire region for the past two years. But all these issues and public protests are completely hidden from the eyes of the Pakistani media. On the other hand, the Indian media is taking videos and news from social media and molding these public sentiments into their own narrative and giving prime-time news. Pakistan’s domestic media has not tried to find out to date and did not invite any important stakeholders of the region to ask why this happens in the most sensitive region, who does it and what is the reason.

Unfortunately in Gilgit-Baltistan, When the party came to power, it defended the government occupation of public lands in the name of Khalsa Sarkar. But after going out of power, the same Bahrupees are seen on the streets with the people.

Until August 5, 2019, the state subject role was also restored in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, according to which anyone except the Pashtuns of the region could not occupy the territory. It is not allowed to buy land, under which India has protected the state’s subject role under Article 35A in its constitution. In the same way, while in Azad Kashmir, it was first protected in the Karachi Agreement, then in the Act of 1974, and even today the state-subject rule is in force unit and according to this account the legal status of both regions is the same, but despite this different treatment has been given to Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. In Azad Kashmir even today the state-subject rule is in force according to the Resident State Act 1928. But the violation of this law in Gilgit-Baltistan has been going on for decades, which has suddenly accelerated now and regularly private housing societies have even started giving advertisements in newspapers for the construction of houses in Gilgit-Baltistan. Which is a serious violation of the principled position of the state of Pakistan on the issue of Kashmir and the support of India’s ambitions.

Therefore, the authorities need to investigate whether the bureaucracy working in Gilgit-Baltistan is weakening Pakistan’s position on the issue of Kashmir. To fulfill Modi’s ambitions and facilitate the roles of the global Great Game? Because at this time, in general, the impression in Awan seems to be the same and the only demand of the people is to restore the state subject role, Khalsa Sarkar Manturu.
