Sehar: Stop eating at Fajr al-Sadiq (true dawn). Iftar: Break fast immediately at sunset. Intention (Niyyah): Required before Fajr. Taraweeh: 20 rak’ahs.

Sehar: Similar timing, slightly earlier Fajr calculation. Iftar: Same sunset timing. Intention: Can be made at night or morning. Taraweeh: 8 or 20 rak’ahs.

Sehar: Until Fajr al-Sadiq. Iftar: After sunset when darkness appears. Intention: Required each night. Taraweeh: Not performed in congregation.

Essential Ramadan Duas

وَبِصَوْمِ غَدٍ نَّوَيْتُ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ
“I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan.”

The main difference is in Fajr angle calculation. Hanafi uses 18°, Shafi often uses 18.5° (Muslim World League), and Jafari uses 16-17° or twilight criteria.
