Chinari’s Internet Woes: Residents in Jhelum Valley District Demand Action Over Poor Service from PTCL, Jazz, and Others

HATTIAN BALA: Residents of the Jhelum Valley district in Azad Kashmir, particularly in Chinari and its surrounding areas, are facing severe issues with internet services provided by companies like PTCL and Jazz, despite subscribing to expensive packages.

Despite customers investing significant amounts, they are consistently encountering problems such as slow browsing speeds and difficulties in uploading and downloading content. Even though telecommunication towers are positioned in close proximity to Chinari, users are experiencing weak signals and unreliable internet connections.

The public, frustrated by the lack of action from authorities, is calling upon the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Azad Kashmir Minister, and the Chief Secretary of Azad Kashmir to intervene and address the situation. Despite the substantial revenue generated from the Jhelum Valley, mobile network providers such as Jazz, Telenor, and Zong have failed to deliver adequate services.

Furthermore, the recent incident of a fire damaging equipment at a Jazz tower in Dinah has further exacerbated the already poor service quality in Jhelum Valley and Chinari. Instead of proactively addressing these issues, service managers of telecommunications companies in Muzaffarabad are remaining passive observers, leading to growing frustration among consumers.
