The accused, identified as Nargis, is a Pakistani national with ties to the city of Jhelum.
According to police reports, the suspect would assume a false identity, disguising herself as a young man named Shaban. After arranging marriages, she would then attempt to smuggle the brides out of the country for illicit purposes.
The arrest follows a formal complaint filed by the family of one of the victims. The affected family, led by Chaudhry Ramadan, revealed that Nargis had assumed a fabricated identity and managed to arrange a marriage between their daughter and the fictitious character, Shaban. Chaudhry Ramadan disclosed that the trafficking group subjected their daughter to violence and attempted to facilitate her sale in various locations. Faced with mounting challenges, the family managed to safely transfer their daughter to a secure location in France.
The victim’s father urged authorities to bring Nargis to justice, emphasizing the need for her immediate return to Pakistan to face legal consequences.
