On the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a special plane carrying relief goods left for Turkey. The C-130 aircraft will carry the Army’s search and rescue team from Chaklala Air Base directly to the earthquake-affected areas of Turkey.
On the morning of February 7, a PIA flight carrying 50 people and 15 tons of goods will leave for Turkey. The team includes personnel from Rescue 1122.
On February 7, another C-130 aircraft from Lahore will depart for Istanbul, Turkey carrying 7 tons of relief supplies. Relief supplies include winter tents, blankets and other essential items.
From February 8, 15 tonnes of relief goods will be sent to Turkey and Syria from Islamabad and Lahore every day through PIA flights.
Ministry of Health and Army medical teams will be sent to Turkey and Syria.
